Uffie

Hello, first I will say I am from Panama Latin America and when it comes to party music or hip music we are dominated by dacehall, reggaeton, U.S commercial Rock, and generic electronic music.

So for this side of the world I will introduce Uffie: a 19 years old Miami/french girl with a lot off attitude and style. She sings about "looking during hours for a dress to go out at night" "or how taxi drivers and disco door men recognize her therefor getting instant access to places or free rides", "or how she is so ready to fuck" (my grand mother almost got an heart attack by listening to this".

Although many will find these lyrics a bit materialistic or soulless, I see in them the representation of a free spirit enjoying life and the moment.

Her music style is a mix of electro and Hip-Hop; some describe this genre as "electro-pop" or the infamous "electroClash" or "Nu-rave" , but it certainly has a bit of all these and at the same time being unique in nature.

What I initially read about her is that she posted some cool songs on myspace and got instant fame, but now I know this is half the story; cause in reality she also is part of a great crew of artists backed up by EdBanger records; also that her background music is made by electronic masters like Mr. Oizo and Justice.

So if you like electro music, girl-rap, or are into indie/Rock dj Parties: I will recomend to try her music if you haven't. Tracks like, Ready to Uff, Hot Chick and Dismissed are never absent from my DJ playlists!
